Two weekends ago, Rick and I had the pleasure of meeting Ron Reynolds (the Yoda of AdvoCare), a man of much knowledge, experience, talent, inspiration…I was nervous and excited all at the same time.  I have been following his daily “Mental Vitamin” posts on Facebook and recently just finished reading The Power of Habit upon his recommendation in one of his “mental vitamins” a few weeks ago.

So of course, when we got to sit down and chat with him over lunch, the first question I asked him was, “So, what book should I read next?” after telling him I had just finished The Power of Habit.  Without hesitation he said, “Well then, you must read Think and Grow Rich, next.”
Below is the 5th component of the “Self-Confidence Formula” in Think and Grow Rich; which the author recommends to memorize and repeat until it becomes part of your subconscious.  I completely believe in every statement below and think they are useful in not only becoming successful, or growing a successful business, but in every facet of life as well.
“I fully realize that no wealth or position can long endure, unless built on truth and justice, therefore:
I will engage in no transaction which does not benefit all whom it affects.
Every situation should be win-win.  A “What’s in it for me mentality” doesn’t build true, trustworthy, meaningful relationships.
I will succeed by attracting to myself the forces I wish to use, and the cooperation of other people.
“He who is not with me is against me, and he who is not gathered with me scatters”
(Luke 11:23).  I’ve learned long ago that not everyone is going to support you, believe in you, favor you. I don’t have the desire nor the time to convince people.  Either you’re on board or you’re not.  I will not accept and allow toxic people in my life; they do not breed success, rather delight in failure.
I will induce others to serve me, because of my willingness to serve others.
I know deep in my heart that my calling, passion, and prayer is to serve others daily. In every area of my life.  What you give is what you get; what you sow, you reap.
I will eliminate hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness, and cynicism, by developing love for all humanity, because I know that a negative attitude toward others can never bring me success.
Amen. Amen. and Amen.
I will cause others to believe in me, because I will believe in them, and in myself.”
Positivity is one of my greatest strengths.  I love to be people’s cheerleader; especially if it is well deserved.  We all know actions speak louder than words.  “I will cause people to believe in me” not by what I say, but by what I will do.  Faith in my thoughts, belief behind speaking those thoughts, words into action…. There’s great power in someone believing in you and what you do; find more of those people to be around and you will flourish!
