{Disclaimer}: I may or may not be listening to NSYNC “Dirty Pop” right now as inspiration for this post…..and it may or may not be on repeat….
I can remember like it was yesterday sitting outside of St. Mary’s waiting for my dad to pick me up after school in his brown F150. He’d pick me up at 3:15 and we’d head over to the high school tennis courts to pick up my brother(s) next.  We always had a little bit of time to kill before they were out of school, and as luck would have it, across the street from where we waited every day was Burger Inn, a drive up/walk up burger joint that sold vanilla ice cream cones for .35 cents! I’m pretty sure that more afternoons than not, I’d ask my dad for money, mosey across the street, and buy him and I an ice cream cone.  Oh the habits we can get away with as children…..
This past weekend when I went home my mom, who’s on the Pump & Shred program, shared with me the most brilliant idea/cure for a summertime sweet tooth.  So I tested it out, created a few different variations, and am sharing it with you all.  This ain’t no dirty pop; so enjoy, eat up and thanks mommaloo for the idea!
The Making of a Protein Fudgesicle
Here’s what I used for the original Fudgesicle:
Serving size: 1 “Cone”
1/4c. Organic 0% Greek Yogurt
-Stir above ingredients in a bowl and spoon into plastic freezer popsicle containers. I bought the ones that look like an ice cream cone because I thought they were cute, but I don’t recommend them because they’re kind of a pain vs. buying just a regular rectangular “popsicle” container.
-Allow fudgesicle to freeze for 3-4 hours.

6g Carbs
3g Sugar
Vanilla Peanut Butter (aka: THA BOMBSICLE)
1 scoop vanilla Muscle Gain
1/4 c. Organic 0% Greek Yogurt
1 Tbsp. PB2
-Prepare the same way above.
Non – Dairy Friends Have No Fear.  I also prepared a fudgesicle without the greek yogurt to make sure it worked, and it did! And actually, I think I prefer this variation better.
1 scoop Muscle Gain
2-3 oz water (not much more)
Shake in a shaker bottle and pour into the plastic mold.

Note: This is the protein I prefer and use; however you can experiment with any protein powder you may have. You could even use 2 scoops of protein powder (for double the protein punch) and enjoy a fudgesicle as a post workout snack instead of drinking it as a shake! For some, I know this will be a nice, guilt-free nighttime snack.
I’d love to hear some feedback on variations you plan to try on your own.  Next time I’m going to add PB2 to the chocolate one….it’s gonna be mmmmm….goood!
